In 2021 I (Steve Turner) decided, after 35 years of carpentry/building work experience, to take the plunge and pack it all in to do something more enjoyable.

I’d wanted to get into building garden rooms for a while, even before the lockdown craze started, but never had the time to even think about it! So… I went for it!

I got a workshop (another life’s ambition!), then set about designing my own type of Garden Room. Not like all the others, not copied from stock photos, but my own! I’ve taken all my experiences, good and bad, from my years of site work and the 40+ loft conversions and more extensions than I care to remember, and created my own product.

Things I wanted to build into my work were; modern sleek lines, comfort, sustainability, individuality, flexibility, ease.

The things I wanted to leave behind were; plant and machinery, mess, wasted materials, substandard materials, weeks on site, the dependency on weather!

So I came up with the idea of building these rooms completely in my workshop in such a way that they can be easily disassembled taken to site a put back together in a matter of hours. A Bespoke flat pack I guess! The best part is there are no nasty surprises on installation because it’s already been installed once.

Keeping the visual and environmental impact to a minimum was important in the design too. That’s why the rooms are designed with sleek roof lines and glazing. We are able to effectively control the quantity of timber used, and use the latest sustainable materials available.

So far this venture has made me, my family and many customers very happy indeed.
